Introducing the 2012 New York City Metropolitan Area Gem Show, or just "NYC Metro Show" for short. Our exhibitors will feature fine minerals, exquisite fossils, dinosaurs, meteorites, gems, jewelry, gold and more in the modern Meadowlands Exposition Center. We are located in Secaucus New Jersey, just four miles from New York City via the Lincoln Tunnel.

Why New Jersey? Unlike venues in Manhattan, the Meadowlands Expo Center does not have a closed union shop. This means that dealers can unload, set-up, pack-up, load, etc. without any union interference or additional expense whatsoever. Yet, being only 4 miles from Manhattan we get the benefits of being near New York City -- except without the high costs!

We are proud to announce that Triebold Paleontology will set up FIVE dinosaur skeletons to include an Appalachiosaurus (Eastern Tyrannosaurid) and Lephorothon in a "kill scene" in the lobby, as well as a Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, and a Thescelosaurus on the main exhibition floor.

Both the Arizona-Sonoma Desert Museum and the University of Arizona Mineral Museum will display an impressive array of Mexican gems and minerals from their extensive 60-year and 120-year old collections.

To further support the 'Mexican Gems & Minerals' show theme, we will feature four speakers presenting ten talks on six related topics. They include Tom Moore of the Mineralogical Record, Bob Jones of Rock & Gem, Dr. Debra Colodner of the Arizona-Sonoma Desert Museum, and Mark Candee of the University of Arizona Mineral Museum.

A very special exhibit is the New York debut of the life-size "American Woman" sculpture by Francisco Sotomayor. This masterpiece was carved from a single 21-ton block of marble. She has been to 26 western US cities, but never before east of the Mississippi.

In addition, we'll feature a luxurious upscale Fine Mineral & Gem Gallery for high-end mineral & gem dealers. The Gallery features glass showcases, carpeting, pipe & drape, a plush seating area, wine bar, and a dedicated 24-hour police guard. To view the Gallery floor-plan click here.
